Prvi puta u probni je rad pu\u0161ten krajem pro\u0161le godine, a ve\u0107 obara rekorde. Unutar njegove toroidalne \u0161upljine, tokamaka, stvara se u\u017earena plazma u kojoj se pokre\u0107e lan\u010dana reakcija fuzije, a najvi\u0161a temperatura plazme u budu\u0107nosti bi trebala iznositi i do 360 milijuna stupnjeva Celzija \u2013 odatle i kolokvijalni nadimak &#8220;umjetno Sunce&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kineski su mediji ovoga tjedna objavili kako je u &#8220;umjetnom Suncu&#8221; postavljen novi svjetski rekord za najdu\u017ee vrijeme odr\u017eavanja te plazme stabilnom pri visokim temperaturama \u2013 \u0161to je klju\u010d stabilnog rada fuzijskog reaktora u budu\u0107nosti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">Rekord za rekordom<\/span><\/strong><br><br>Unutar \u0161upljine oblika krafne s rupom Kinezi su uspjeli podi\u0107i temperaturu plazme na 160 milijuna \u00b0C i takvom je zadr\u017eali 20 sekundi. Pri temperaturi od 120 milijuna \u00b0C plazma je ostala stabilnom 101 sekundu. Njihovo najve\u0107e dosada\u0161nje postignu\u0107e bilo je odr\u017eavanje plazme na 100 milijuna \u00b0C u trajanju od 100 sekundi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prija\u0161nji rekorder bio je ju\u017enokorejski fuzijski reaktor KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) koji je u studenome pro\u0161le godine uspio plazmu s temperaturom iona vi\u0161om od 100 milijuna \u00b0C zadr\u017eati oko 20 sekundi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kinezi napominju da je temperatura u sredi\u0161tu &#8220;pravog&#8221; Sunca oko 15 milijuna \u00b0C, pa \u0107e u njihovom reaktoru plazma biti zagrijavana i na deset puta vi\u0161e temperature. Nadaju se da \u0107e im to pomo\u0107i pokrenuti fuzijske reakcije poput onih u zvijezdama, \u0161to bi omogu\u0107ilo gotovo neograni\u010den izvor \u010diste energije.
