Embrij je \u017eiv, ima srce koje kuca, krvne \u017eile i \u017eiv\u010dani sustav. To je prvi put da su znanstvenici uspjeli razviti embrij sisavaca in vitro do tog stupnja razvoja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Znanstvenici sa Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta u Virginiji u SAD-u razvili su neobi\u010dan embrij u svom laboratoriju. Od mi\u0161jih mati\u010dnih stanica uspjeli su razviti embrij mi\u0161a koji ima funkcionalno srce, krvne \u017eile i \u017eiv\u010dani sustav. Embrij je uzgojen u posudici te predstavlja najsofisticiraniji in vitro model sisavca dosad uzgojen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rije\u010d je o velikom koraku naprijed u nastojanju znanstvenika da opona\u0161aju prirodni razvoj sisavaca koriste\u0107i mati\u010dne stanice. Samo postojanje tog embrija ve\u0107 je \u010dudo i pomo\u0107i \u0107e znanstvenicima u razumijevanju razvoja sisavaca, borbi protiv bolesti, stvaranju novih lijekova te s vremenom i uzgoju tkiva i organa za ljude kojima je potrebna transplantacija.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prona\u0161li smo na\u010din da damo instrukcije agregatima mati\u010dnih stanica kako bismo pokrenuli razvoj embrija. Kao reakcija na te kontrolirane instrukcije, agregati se razvijaju u entitete poput embrija u procesu koji sumira embrijske korake jedan po jedan. Nevjerojatno je da mo\u017eemo dobiti raznolika tkiva koja su prisutna u pravom embriju mi\u0161a, ka\u017ee Christine Thisse s odjela za stani\u010dnu biologiju spomenutog sveu\u010dili\u0161ta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Va\u017enost istra\u017eivanja posebno je naglasio Bernard Thisse, s istog odjela Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta u Virginiji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ljudski organi napravljeni su od vi\u0161e tipova stanica koje potje\u010du iz razli\u010ditih dijelova embrija u razvoju\u2026 Jedini na\u010din da se dobiju sve te raznovrsne stanice potrebne za formiranje funkcionalnih organa jest da se razviju sustavi u kojima su prete\u010de stanice prisutne. Entiteti embrija koje smo mi napravili koriste\u0107i mati\u010dne stanice omogu\u0107uju upravo to, ka\u017ee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mati\u010dne stanice posebne su stanice koje se mogu pretvoriti u druge tipove stanica sa specifi\u010dnim funkcijama, no izgradnja sofisticiranih modela s vi\u0161e tipova stanica dosad se pokazala izrazito te\u0161kim izazovom. Dosad je mnogo lak\u0161e bilo usmjeravati formiranje jednog tipa stanice u posudici nego voditi orkestar potreban za razvoj organizma ba\u0161 onako kako se on razvija prirodnim putem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Model Thisseovih pokazao se vrlo sofisticiranim u tome jer razli\u010dite tipove stanica ispreple\u0107e elegantno i na pravi na\u010din, \u0161to predstavlja ogromno postignu\u0107e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Do svog velikog postignu\u0107a nisu do\u0161li odjednom, ve\u0107 je to rezultat njihove ekspertize na polju razvojne biologije te prija\u0161njeg istra\u017eivanja u kojem su koristili embrije riba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">U novom modelu Thisseovih prisutan je notohord (prete\u010da kralje\u017enice), razvija se probavni sustav, srce kuca te se prvi put in vitro razvija i \u017eiv\u010dani sustav.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dvoje znanstvenika isti\u010de da njihov model pokazuje kako je mogu\u0107e inducirati stanice da provode kompleksne razvojne programe u pravom redoslijedu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To je nu\u017eno da bi se se jednog dana mogli proizvesti funkcionalni zamjenski ljudski organi. To bi prevladalo problem nedostatka organa za transplantaciju, ka\u017ee Christine Thisse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No njihov model ipak ne predstavlja u potpunosti razvijenog mi\u0161a i zapravo to ne mo\u017ee napraviti jer klju\u010dni elementi jo\u0161 uvijek nedostaju, poput prednjeg dijela mozga.
