Ta mikrovlakna predstavljaju najfleksibilniji oblik leda ikad napravljen, otkriva nova znanstvena studija.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ve\u0107ina leda u \u010dijem je sastavu voda, ekstremno je rigidna i krhka te se lako lomi pri poku\u0161aju da ga se savije. No, da jedan duguljasti kristal leda mo\u017ee biti daleko fleksibilniji, otkrio je tim kineskih znanstvenika sa Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta Zheijang u Kini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Limin Tong i njegovi kolege sa spomenutog sveu\u010dili\u0161ta iskoristili su tu \u010dinjenicu kako bi proizveli najfleksibilniji vodeni led dosad, \u010dija je fleksibilnost vrlo blizu teoretskog limita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ledena vlakna napravili su koriste\u0107i vodenu paru vo\u0111enu cjev\u010dicama u malenu komoru \u010diju su temperaturu dr\u017eali na -50 stupnjeva Celzija. Elektri\u010dno polje u toj komori privla\u010di molekule vode na iglicu napravljenu od volframa, gdje se kristaliziraju u oblik vlakana debljine nekoliko mikrometara ili manje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nakon toga tim kineskih znanstvenika ohladio je ledena vlakna jo\u0161 vi\u0161e, odnosno na temperaturu izme\u0111u -70 i -150 stupnjeva te izmjerio njihovo elasti\u010dno naprezanje. Otkrili su da su ta vlakna elasti\u010dnija od bilo koje strukture vodenog leda dotad testirane. neka od tih vlakana mogla su se saviti gotovo do formiranja kruga, a nakon popu\u0161tanja sile, sva su se odmah vratila u prvobitan izdu\u017eeni oblik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ledena vlakna koja su proizveli imala su 10,9 posto elasti\u010dnog naprezanja, nasuprot 0,3 posto koliko je dotad zabilje\u017eeno kod drugih mjerenih oblika vodenog leda. Teorijski limit elasti\u010dnog naprezanja leda iznosi izme\u0111u 14 i 16,2 posto tako da su se kineski znanstvenici poprili\u010dno pribli\u017eili toj granici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tong i njegov tim pobli\u017ee su prou\u010dili napravljene ledene niti te su uo\u010dili prisutnost jo\u0161 jednog oblika leda koji je gu\u0161\u0107i od leda koji je \u010dinio ve\u0107inu tih vlakana. Naprezanja na savitljivom dijelu leda tih vlakana mogla su dovesti do te transformacije u strukturi leda, \u0161to zna\u010di da bi ta vlakna potencijalno mogla pomo\u0107i u razumijevanju kako takve transformacije zapravo funkcioniraju.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tako proizvedena ledena mikrovlakna su i iznimno transparentna pa bi se mogla korisititi i za prijenos svjetlosti, no to nije prakti\u010dno, jer su temperaturni zahtjevi takvi da bi \u010ditavu stvar bilo te\u0161ko izvesti.
