Ta pjena pluta na povr\u0161ini mora, a kad to podru\u010dje obasja sunce, morska voda ispod te pjene pretvara se u paru i prolazi kroz tu pjenu, istovremeno se pro\u010di\u0161\u0107avaju\u0107i u pitku vodu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">U svijetu otprilike 1,42 milijarde ljudi \u017eivi na podru\u010djima pogo\u0111enima nesta\u0161icom pitke vode, prema podacima UNICEF-a, a od ukupne koli\u010dine vode na na\u0161em planetu, tek je tri posto iste pitko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">S tim na umu, mnogi znanstvenici neumorno rade na na\u010dinima kako pretvoriti morsku vodu u pitku vodu. Dosad najpoznatija metoda je filtriraju\u0107i sustav koji uklanja sol iz morske vode i naziva de desalinizacija, no ure\u0111aji koji rade na tom principu dolaze s manama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Materijal je na neki na\u010din skup za proizvodnju i sam po sebi nije odr\u017eiv, isti\u010de Yi Zheng, profesor sa spomenutog sveu\u010dili\u0161ta Northwestern, govore\u0107i o sustavu desalinizacije te dodaje da je u \u010ditav proces jo\u0161 uklju\u010dena i dodatna potro\u0161nja elektri\u010dne energije.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nadogra\u0111uju\u0107i ideju filtriranja morske vode, Zheng je zapravo tra\u017eio odr\u017eiviji izvor energije za filtriranje i prona\u0161ao ga u sun\u010devoj energiji. Umjesto sustava sa solarnim panelima, njegov proces ima filter koji se aktivira sun\u010devim svjetlom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zhang je prikupio ogromnu koli\u010dinu kravljeg gnojiva s lokalnih farmi te je nekon toga to gnojivo spr\u017eio na temperaturi od 1700 stupnjeva Celzija, \u0161to je efektivno uni\u0161tilo sve bakterije i pretvorilo gnojivo u uglji\u010dnu pra\u0161inu od koje je Zhang napravio pjenu pomo\u0107u koje se u kona\u010dnici filtrira nepitka morska voda u pitku vodu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dobivena voda toliko bila je vrlo svje\u017ea, a Zheng je otkrio i da je koncentracija natrija u njoj bila zna\u010dajno ispod standarda za pitku vodu kojeg je postavila ameri\u010dka agencija za za\u0161titu okoli\u0161a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Materijali koje koristimo su u potpunosti prirodni i odr\u017eivi. Taj prirodni materijal odli\u010dno radi, jeftin je, lagano se mo\u017ee do\u0107i do njega i jednostavan je za proizvodnju, nagla\u0161ava Zheng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ta bi tehnologija mogla omogu\u0107iti lokalnim zajednicama izgradnju vlastitih filtriraju\u0107ih sustava te uravnote\u017eiti pristup pitkoj vodi diljem svijeta, smatra Zheng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ljudi mogu jednostavno skupiti gnojivo i spaliti ga bez pote\u0161ko\u0107a.
