Iako je njihova odsutnost omogu\u0107ila obnavljanje za\u0161titnog plina visoko u atmosferi, \u010dini se da je jedna \u0161tetna tvar pro\u0161la kroz pukotine, potencijalno usporavaju\u0107i popravak sloja ili \u010dak ugro\u017eavaju\u0107i njegovu budu\u0107nost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Znanstvenici sa Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta Saskatchewan u Kanadi vodili su studiju koja je otkrila da ljudska aktivnost osloba\u0111a zna\u010dajno vi\u0161e organskog otapala bromoforma (CHBr3) nego \u0161to se prije pretpostavljalo. Proizveden od strane fitoplanktona i algi, spoj nikada nije razmatran za regulaciju protokolom. Ipak, to je tako\u0111er nusprodukt sterilizacije vode klorom, pro\u0161iruju\u0107i raspon izvora nad kojima mi ljudi imamo odre\u0111enu kontrolu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zapravo, uzimanje u obzir antropogenih izvora kemikalije pove\u0107ava njezinu globalnu razinu za \u010dak gotovo tre\u0107inu u usporedbi s prethodnim procjenama. To pove\u0107anje ima posljedice za ozonski omota\u010d, koji i dalje treba \u0161to vi\u0161e za\u0161tite. Kako se bromoform razgra\u0111uje, osloba\u0111a se bromid, a bromid mo\u017ee zna\u010dajno utjecati na o\u0161te\u0107enje ozona u ni\u017eoj stratosferi. &#8220;Bromoform (CHBr3) doprinosi o\u0161te\u0107enju stratosferskog ozona, ali nije reguliran Montrealskim protokolom zbog kratkog vijeka trajanja i velikih prirodnih izvora&#8221;, pi\u0161u istra\u017eiva\u010di u svom objavljenom radu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Opet su krivi ljudi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Ovdje pokazujemo da antropogeni izvori zna\u010dajno doprinose koli\u010dini CHBr3 transportiranoj u izvantropsku stratosferu sjeverne hemisfere (NH).&#8221; Znamo da su ti antropogeni izvori koncentrirani uglavnom oko obala zbog industrije i proizvodnje energije. Prema istra\u017eiva\u010dima, ova bi koncentracija mogla pove\u0107ati emisije na sjevernoj hemisferi za \u010dak 70,5 posto. Postoje\u0107i podaci o emisijama bromoforma iz brodskog balasta, elektrana i postrojenja za desalinizaciju kombinirani su u studiji i provu\u010deni kroz niz simulacijskih modela kako bi se do\u0161lo do nove procjene za razine CHBr3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Najve\u0107i udio antropogenih emisija potje\u010de iz globalnih elektrana (10,3 posto \u2013 25,9 posto ukupnih emisija CHBr3), dok desalinizacija (1,8 posto \u2013 2,1 posto) i brodski balast (0,1 posto \u2013 0,3 posto) daju samo male doprinose, \u201c obja\u0161njavaju istra\u017eiva\u010di.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kako bi dodatno provjerili svoje modele, istra\u017eiva\u010di su usporedili svoja otkri\u0107a s nedavnim mjerenjima izvr\u0161enim na terenu pomo\u0107u zrakoplova. Otkrili su &#8220;izvrsno slaganje&#8221; izme\u0111u stvarnih opa\u017eanja i modela. &#8220;Antropogene emisije CHBr3 koncentrirane su u obalnim regijama ekstratropskih podru\u010dja NH raspore\u0111enih oko sredi\u0161ta industrije i proizvodnje energije u Europi, Sjevernoj Americi, isto\u010dnoj Aziji i ju\u017enoj Aziji&#8221;, pi\u0161u istra\u017eiva\u010di.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Te\u0161ko je procijeniti koliko se bromoforma osloba\u0111a iz oceana kroz izvore poput morske trave i fitoplanktona. Znanstvenici nisu sigurni koji su to\u010dni mehanizmi njegove proizvodnje i nemaju puno podataka s terena na temelju kojih bi mogli raditi. Ovi izvori jo\u0161 uvijek uzrokuju vi\u0161e emisija nego izvori povezani s ljudskom aktivno\u0161\u0107u, ali mi dajemo zna\u010dajniji doprinos nego \u0161to se prije mislilo \u2013 a trenuta\u010dno ne postoje propisi za provjeru emisija bromoforma. Montrealski protokol pokazao se vrlo u\u010dinkovitim u zabrani kemikalija kao \u0161to su CFC (klorofluorougljici), odr\u017eavaju\u0107i ozonski omota\u010d kao vitalnu za\u0161titu izme\u0111u nas i ultraljubi\u010dastog zra\u010denja Sunca.
