Ruda, nazvana niobobaotit, napravljena je od niobija, barija, titana, \u017eeljeza i klorida, izvijestio je South China Morning Post. Niobij je taj koji izaziva uzbu\u0111enje: ovaj svijetlosivi metal trenutno se uglavnom koristi u proizvodnji \u010delika, koji oja\u010dava bez dodavanja zna\u010dajne te\u017eine. Niobij se tako\u0111er koristi u izradi drugih legura (materijala izra\u0111enih od mje\u0161avina metala) i mo\u017ee se na\u0107i u akceleratorima \u010destica i drugoj naprednoj znanstvenoj opremi jer je supravodi\u010d na niskim temperaturama, prema Kraljevskom kemijskom dru\u0161tvu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le\u017ei\u0161te je prona\u0111eno u nalazi\u0161tu rude Bayan Obo u gradu Baotou u Unutra\u0161njoj Mongoliji 3. listopada.
