Prvo smo svoja nadanja za ovakvim otkri\u0107em usmjerili prema Mjesecu, a zatim u smjeru Marsa i drugih tijela u Sun\u010devom sustavu. Mada smo kasnije otkrili da Mars izgleda kao be\u017eivotna pusto\u0161, to ne zna\u010di da jo\u0161 uvijek nije u igri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mo\u017eda na njemu prona\u0111emo ostatke drevnih organizama koji su prebivali na tom planetu kada su njime tekle rijeke, odnosno kada je on izgledao sasvim druga\u010dije. Dapa\u010de, znanstvenici smatraju kako postoji velika vjerojatnost da smo ve\u0107 prona\u0161li takve &#8220;male zelene&#8221;, ako su postojali, te da nas od povijesnog otkri\u0107a dijeli samo period u kojem trebamo dobiti pristup uzorcima s rovera Perseverance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Perseverance Explores the Jezero Crater Delta\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sCgwxizcpo0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Naime, podzemne radarske snimke ukazuju na to da ovaj rover na savr\u0161enom mjestu traga za fosiliziranim vanzemaljskim \u017eivotom jer su njegovi instrumenti potvrdili da je barem jedan krater na Crvenom planetu u pradavna vremena bio ispunjen vodom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Krater Jezero, dolina Neretve, dolina Sava<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Znanstvenici ve\u0107 neko vrijeme sumnjaju na to da je krater Jezero, koji je dobio ime po jednom selu u Bosni i Hercegovini, zapravo isu\u0161eno korito jezera koje je napajala drevna rijeka. Stoga su i poslali rover u tu depresiju \u0161irine 45 kilometara, koja se nalazi na Marsovoj sjevernoj polutci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zanimljivo za napomenuti, podru\u010dja u blizini kratera tako\u0111er su dobila imena po rijekama koje teku kroz BiH, ali i Hrvatsku. Tako se odmah pored mjesta slijetanja rovera nalazi dolina Neretve, koja zapravo predstavlja osu\u0161eno korito drevne rijeke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jugozapadno od kratera Jezera je dolina Una, a sjeverno dolina Sava. Kartu cijelog podru\u010dja mo\u017eete pogledati ovdje. Znanstvenici su nakon \u0161to su zavirili ispod pra\u0161njave povr\u0161ine Jezera postali jako uzbu\u0111eni zbog mogu\u0107nosti da je Perseverance (nadimak \u2013 Percy) ve\u0107 prona\u0161ao znakove &#8220;malih zelenih&#8221; mikroba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/otpor.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/nasa-2-050224.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-45838\" style=\"width:510px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Drevno jezero ispunjeno vodom<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Iz orbite mo\u017eemo vidjeti hrpu razli\u010ditih naslaga, ali ne mo\u017eemo sa sigurno\u0161\u0107u re\u0107i radi li se o izvornom stanju ili dugotrajnom geolo\u0161kom procesu&#8221;, kazao je planetarni znanstvenik David Paige sa Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta California Los Angeles (UCLA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Od sedam ure\u0111aja na Percyju, najmo\u0107niji je radar RIMFAX koji prodire kroz tlo. Sustav mo\u017ee otkriti naslage leda, vode ili slane otopine i na dubini ve\u0107oj od 10 metara te mapirati slojeve tla i kamenja do dubine od 20 metara. Rover je dobar dio pro\u0161le godine putovao du\u017e zapadnog ruba kratera Jezero i polako snimao \u0161to se nalazi ispod povr\u0161ine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Njegovi podaci ukazuju na to da je 4 milijarde godina star krater, nastao nakon udara asteroida, kasnije ispunjen mla\u0111im sedimentom i stijenama koje je najvjerojatnije donijela voda. Nalazi podupiru prethodne podatke RIMFAX-a s druge lokacije, koji su otkrili neo\u010dekivane nagibe u slojevima sedimenta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Koliko moramo \u010dekati?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Izgleda da su se ispod zapadnog ruba kratera Jezero vodoravni slojevi podzemnog sedimenta nalazili unutar vodene povr\u0161ine koja je nalikovala jezeru na Zemlji. Tijekom vremena, njezini su vodostaji varirali &#8211; ponekad bi nabujali, a ponekad se smanjili.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kako se drevno jezero povla\u010dilo, stvorilo je mre\u017eu sli\u010dnu delti, a kada je rijeka nabujala, ponovo se formiralo jezero. Takvo dugotrajno vodeno okru\u017eenje je zapravo idealno mjesto za razvoj mikrobnog \u017eivota. Percy je izbu\u0161io i prikupio nekoliko uzoraka sedimenta iz ove regije te je njegov spremnik ve\u0107 60 posto popunjen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mada se na nekim od uzoraka ve\u0107 sada mogu nazrijeti intrigantni znakovi organskih spojeva, pravo stanje stvari \u0107emo vidjeti tek kada prikupimo uzorke i detaljno analiziramo dolaze li ti spojevi iz biolo\u0161kih ili geolo\u0161kih izvora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/otpor.media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/nasa-3-050224.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-45839\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No, za to \u0107emo morati jo\u0161 malo pri\u010dekati. Lander koji bi trebao preuzeti uzorke s rovera krenut \u0107e na svoje putovanje prema Marsu tek 2028., a uzorci bi trebali sti\u0107i na Zemlju 2033. Dakle, \u010dak i ako smo ve\u0107 prikupili fosile &#8220;malih zelenih&#8221;, za slu\u017ebenu potvrdu \u0107emo morati sa\u010dekati jo\u0161 najmanje devet godina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Krater Jezero i potraga za vanzemaljskim \u017eivotom<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dosada\u0161nje analize su pokazale da su naslage u krateru bogate mineralima koji nastaju u prisutnosti vode, \u0161to zna\u010di da je tamo nekada mogao postojati i \u017eivot. U takvim sli\u010dnim sedimentima na Zemlji obi\u010dno nalazimo fosile, stoga je mogu\u0107e da \u0107e ih rover otkriti i na ovome podru\u010dju.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prije vi\u0161e milijardi godina Mars je vjerojatno bio puno toplije mjesto, na kojem je bilo teku\u0107e vode na povr\u0161ini, \u0161to zna\u010di da se tamo u dalekoj pro\u0161losti mogao razviti \u017eivot. No Crveni planet je s vremenom izgubio atmosferu i velik dio vode te je postao suho, hladno i negostoljubivo podru\u010dje kakvim ga vidimo danas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mada je danas krater prazan, o\u017eiljci koje vidimo na povr\u0161ini pri\u010daju pri\u010du o davnoj pro\u0161losti punoj rijeka i jezera. Naime, letjelice koje orbitiraju oko Marsa su na tom mjestu snimile formaciju koja nalikuje na veliku rije\u010dnu deltu u obliku lepeze. Ta delta nalikuje podru\u010dju na kojem se rijeka Nil susre\u0107e sa Sredozemnim morem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bijele pje\u0161\u010dane pla\u017ee na Marsu?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Planetarna znanstvenica Briony Horgan, \u010dlanica znanstvenog tima iza rovera Perseverance, jo\u0161 je prije dvije godine kazala da je ovo mjesto idealno za potragu za fosiliziranim organizmima jer su se u ovo jezero ulijevale drevne rijeke i vjerojatno odlagale organske i druge potencijalne znakove \u017eivota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delte i dna jezera mogu sa\u010duvati blatnjave sedimente koji su zadr\u017eali dokaze o biolo\u0161kom \u017eivotu ili drugom organskom materijalu. Iako na Marsu postoje i druge formacije koje nalikuju na korita rijeka, jezera i delta, u krateru Jezero su otkriveni i posebni minerali. Naslage tih minerala, karbonata, nalazimo po cijelome krateru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Mogu\u0107e je da je ovo drevno jezero nekada imalo prekrasne bijele pje\u0161\u010dane pla\u017ee&#8221;, kazala je Horgan. U jezerima na Zemlji mikrobi vole rasti u velikim kolonijama tik ispod povr\u0161ine vode.
