Identificiran najstariji udarni krater na Zemlji"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Znanstvenici u Australiji identificirali su najstariji poznati udarni krater na Zemlji, star nevjerojatnih 3,5 milijardi godina, \u010dime su sru\u0161ili prethodni rekord starosti od 2,2 milijarde godina. Otkri\u0107e je napravljeno u regiji Pilbara u zapadnoj Australiji, a rezultati istra\u017eivanja objavljeni su u \u010dasopisu Nature Communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tim geologa sa Sveu\u010dili\u0161ta Curtin otkrio je krater zahvaljuju\u0107i specifi\u010dnoj vrsti stijena poznatoj kao &#8216;shatter cones&#8217; (razlomljeni konusi). Ove strukture nastaju samo pod ekstremnim uvjetima koje uzrokuje udar meteorita, \u0161to ih \u010dini nepobitnim dokazom o sudaru svemirske stijene s ranim Zemljinim tlom. Krater se nalazi u podru\u010dju North Pole Dome, oko 40 kilometara zapadno od grada Marble Bar u Zapadnoj Australiji. Prema istra\u017eivanju, meteor je udario u Zemlju brzinom ve\u0107om od 36.000 kilometara na sat, ostavljaju\u0107i za sobom ogroman krater \u0161iri od 100 kilometara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dalekose\u017ene implikacije<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Osim \u0161to predstavlja geolo\u0161ko \u010dudo, ovo otkri\u0107e moglo bi imati dalekose\u017ene implikacije za razumijevanje po\u010detka \u017eivota na Zemlji. Jedan od vode\u0107ih istra\u017eiva\u010da, geolog Chris Kirkland, isti\u010de kako su udari meteorita mogli stvoriti uvjete pogodne za razvoj mikroorganizama, uklju\u010duju\u0107i topla hidrotermalna podru\u010dja koja su mogla poslu\u017eiti kao kolijevka za rane oblike \u017eivota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zanimljivo je da se na istom podru\u010dju Pilbare nalaze neki od najstarijih poznatih fosila na svijetu, uklju\u010duju\u0107i stromatolite &#8211; fosilizirane mikrobne strukture stare gotovo 3,5 milijardi godina. Ove prastare naslage mikroorganizama mogle bi pru\u017eiti va\u017ene tragove ne samo o ranim oblicima \u017eivota na Zemlji, ve\u0107 i o mogu\u0107im sli\u010dnim procesima na drugim planetima poput Marsa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Osim \u0161to potencijalno obja\u0161njava kako su nastali prvi uvjeti za \u017eivot, ovaj drevni udar meteorita mogao je imati klju\u010dnu ulogu u oblikovanju Zemljine kore. Ogromna koli\u010dina energije oslobo\u0111ena sudarom mogla je pokrenuti procese koji su sli\u010dni modernoj tektonici plo\u010da ili izazvati uzdizanje magme iz dubine pla\u0161ta prema povr\u0161ini. Ranija istra\u017eivanja stijena u regiji Pilbara ve\u0107 su sugerirala da je tektonika plo\u010da mo\u017eda bila aktivna ve\u0107 prije 3 do 4 milijarde godina, a ovo otkri\u0107e pru\u017ea dodatne dokaze u prilog toj teoriji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Klju\u010d za nastanak \u017eivota<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Otkri\u0107e najstarijeg udarnog kratera ne samo da prepravlja dosada\u0161nje geolo\u0161ke kronologije, ve\u0107 otvara vrata novim istra\u017eivanjima o ranoj Zemlji i uvjetima koji su omogu\u0107ili razvoj \u017eivota. Geolog Tim Johnson, jedan od vode\u0107ih istra\u017eiva\u010da studije, smatra da bi ovo otkri\u0107e moglo biti samo po\u010detak pronalaska jo\u0161 drevnih kratera koji \u0107e dodatno rasvijetliti pro\u0161lost na\u0161eg planeta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ostaje pitanje koliko jo\u0161 ovakvih dokaza le\u017ei skriveno ispod povr\u0161ine Zemlje i kakve \u0107e nam nove uvide donijeti budu\u0107a istra\u017eivanja, pi\u0161e Gizmodo.
